Craig Freshley here, I’m at a meeting. The purpose of this meeting is to learn about resources for providing financial freedom to people with disabilities. There are a lot of people with disabilities here in the meeting and so we have used a special technology that I want to tell you about. Check this out.
This is Marsha and Elaine. They are using a technology called CART services. It stands for: Communication, Access, Real Time, Translation. It’s pretty cool. They have stenographer machines, actually I’m going to come over here and show you. They are both typing on the steno-machines and, if you can see what’s going on up here on the screen, there is the real time translation.
For anybody in the room that is hearing impaired, maybe there are people — in fact I can tell you there are people in this room that are totally deaf — they can participate in the meeting by seeing the words on the screen as we go.
I think that this is a terrific technology — terrific use of the services of these folks — and we are providing access, complete access, full inclusion, for all the people in this room regardless of their disabilities.
