On a scale of 1-5 how was it, and why?
That’s it. After a meeting, event, program, activity, or anything that you want feedback on, ask each person to answer the above question.
It’s deliberately open-ended. You can answer this with positives or negatives. You are pushed to say the magnitude of your positivity or negativity. And you are pushed to explain why you scored it the way you did.
Hearing each person’s answer – even super-quick – provides the group with 1) an actual quantitative score if you want to record the answers and do the math, and 2) shared hearing of the best and the worst, allowing us each to make adjustments going forward.
